Benefits
The GNOPS welcomes our resident pediatric colleagues as valuable members of the pediatric community here in New Orleans and would very much like to have you actively involved in our Society. The GNOPS offers the best opportunity for our young pediatricians to help improve the quality of care in the pediatric community, network with other local pediatricians, and continue their educational efforts.

The Society holds two events per year: one business/educational event and one social event. Our meetings feature presentations by local and nationally recognized speakers on a variety of topics. The meetings are held at restaurants across the city and each includes cocktails and dinner. Members of the GNOPS, including residents, may attend free of charge. Our social events provide residents with an excellent opportunity to meet and share information with pediatricians from across the Greater New Orleans area in a fun and relaxed environment. Residents and their guests may attend these events at a discounted rate.

Finally, in order to ensure the future of high quality healthcare for the children of the Greater New Orleans area, the GNOPS strongly encourages our residents to continue their practice in the area after their residency is complete. To help facilitate this, we have incorporated a job posting board on our website, where local practices can post available positions and job-seekers can post their contact information. This service is only available to GNOPS members.
